The Reply Box Tool Bar on Kubuntu Forums

I seem to lack a tool bar at the top of this reply box
Elsewhere I have seen advice on these Forums to click an icon on the toolbar in order to, for example, insert an image into a post.
I realise that there are other ways to achieve the same thing but I am curious.
It seems some have a tool bar above their Forum reply box and others do not.
I have scanned and searched for information but found nothing of any use.
I have tried accessing the Forum with both Rekonq and Firefox but the result was the same - no tool bar
Is the tool bar for certain Forum users only?
Is there 'somewhere' to click an option to allow the tool bar?
at the bottom of my Forum page the following is displayed:

    Posting Permissions

    You may post new threads
    You may post replies
    You may post attachments
    You may edit your posts

    and

    BB code is On
    Smilies are On
    [IMG] code is On
    [VIDEO] code is On
    HTML code is Off

could it be because HTML is off?

    I hope someone can explain

    Try this:

Settings --> My account - General settings --> Scroll down to "Miscellaneous options"

I expect you have selected the basic editor:

Name:	editor.png
Views:	1
Size:	26.7 KB
ID:	642330

Try "Standard editor", and you'll get this:

Name:	editor1.png
Views:	1
Size:	31.3 KB
ID:	642331

      Many thanks Feathers,

you were right - the Basic Editor must have been installed by default.
I ticked the appropriate box and tried Enhanced Interface - full WYSIWYG editing

It works fine here on Rekonq

Warning: NOW I CAN BE A SERIOUS MENACE WITH MY KULURFUL HEDITS big grin

The secret is a secret no more!!
I will try to be restrained, honest guv, promise

      Oh and again, thanks
