    New install kubuntu 14.04 problems

    Linux - Kubuntu 14.04, 64-bit, 3.13.0-24-generic,
    4 x AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 645 Processor Memory 7.8 GiB
    Problem 1: System Settings: Password & User Account
    - added new User info – on save, this error displayed:

    Problem 2. How to change autostart in System Settings to autostart – currently only this shows:

    My file Home/.config/autostart is empty. I want to set an auto logon - please advise.

    1) Dunno, but have you tried deleting the file manually? It is hidden (hence the dot in front of the file name, so you may have to enable viewing hidden stuff in Dolphin). You might, as a workaround, try selecting one of the stock user images for the user account, then try the "remove image" option. Does this error keep popping up for you, or just the once? If the file no longer exists, and you don't get the error again, you might just be ok to not worry about it.

    2) Autologin and autostart are two separate things altogether. Autostart is for programs or scripts to run when you login.
    Autologin is to skip the username/password prompt and log right in to a particular user account. You set this in System Settings >> Login Screen (LightDM) >> General
