    Need help with Ark extraction

Using kubuntu 14.04 on 64 bit system, quad processors

I am trying to extract my saved personal folders after suffering a kubuntu 14.04 crash.
Am an 80 year old novice. I need help in using Ark extraction, finding it very confusing.

Click on the archive in Dolphin. Then when the Ark window opens, try hitting the "Extract" button in the Ark menubar rather than the Action button.

This will open a new window usually defaulting to /home/bumpy/Documents. Select the target folder you desire from there and then click OK.

However, you should be able to do the same from the Action button and from Dolphin directly with the "Extract" service menu.

Selected "Extract" button in the Ark menubar.
      Selected bumpy/Home as the destination
All files were extracted into home/bumpy/Home/Home/ – there were NO ORIGINAL FOLDERS!!!

Have reset my destination drive path to /home/bumpy (which is the original settings)
Here is the current Ark screen..

Yeah! Preserve paths is usually ticked as default so I didn't think to mention that. Glad you got it.
