Downloaded and installed Bare Naket Desktop Theme; Panel is Opaque?

I have used Bare Naked Desktop Theme, precisely because of transparency, including the Panel. This time, the panel remains opaque while the widgets have transparent backgrounds. Last three distributions had transparent backgrounds on the Panel too. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks!

have you logged out after switching to this theme?

I know it is not supposed to be necessary, but I have had to do this on some themes, but not all.
I think that this may have to do with the age of the theme, for example the Bare Naked theme seems to be unmaintained by its creator since 2009. I remember trying it out, but can't remember what I didn't like about it, or if it worked.

Some alternative themes to try are Seamless and NoSeams. I've been using NoSeams as my default for a long while now

(oddly, I can't seem to install your Bare Naked theme at all?? No new theme I install shows up )
