    Error when running gedit

** (gedit:8441): WARNING **: Could not load theme icon user-bookmarks-symbolic: Icon 'user-bookmarks-symbolic' not present in theme

** (gedit:8441): WARNING **: Could not load theme icon user-home-symbolic: Icon 'user-home-symbolic' not present in theme

** (gedit:8441): WARNING **: Could not load theme icon drive-harddisk-symbolic: Icon 'drive-harddisk-symbolic' not present in theme

When typing in gedit these warnings pop up. Also how do I set the battery icon to display the time remaining instead of just the percentage shown?

These errors pop up in a terminal, or on their own?
These are warnings, not errors, so unless you are missing some icons in gedit, you can ignore these messages, if they are in the terminal. Probably installing the gnome-icon-theme or similar will fix the issue.

As to the battery time remaining, you will have to add a new widget for that, called enhanced battery plasmoid. You can search for and install it from the Add Widgets dialog, and enable it in your systray settings

Running things from a terminal emulator, in KDE konsole, will often produce lots of warnings. For gedit I get one more than yours. Even K apps do the same, kate gives me
QDBusConnection: session D-Bus connection created before QCoreApplication. Application may misbehave.
IMO, this is sloppy coding, akin to compile warnings. But the DE world seems to accept it.

Thanks for the replies, I just will ignore the warnings. Yes @jlittle I also regard having warnings in software is poor coding but oh well. Also @claydoh thanks for the information about the enhanced battery monitor, got it workiing.
