How do I get the cursor to be active in a new window?

When I open a Konsole, I would like the cursor to be active without first placing the cursor in to konsole window or having to click in that window to activate the mouse action.

It has been so long since I previously corrected this problem, I cannot remember how to do it.

It is hard to research this problem, because as you can see it is difficult to describe for a google search. I am not sure I have explained the problem easy enough to be understood in this post. Thanks!

Check in System Setting / Windows Behavior.

You probably need to set Focus stealing prevention level to Low or None :

That choice is greyed out and was previously set for 'low'. Can you tell me how to activate the option? Thanks!

Check the "Policy" slider on that tab, the rightmost settings (toward the Hover end) disable the Focus stealing prevention setting.

My default position for the slider was way to the right. When I moved it to the left, the grayed item became active. I selected NONE and it seems to work now. Thank you.
