I was doing so well... I Installed Dapper on a 40Gb drive I had around, following instructions i Linuxloader and it went fine. I was used it and was getting everything just so for a couple of days and was a little put out by half drawn bits on many windows, so I thought I would try changing theme. I found kdmtheme and installed it and downloaded a them from kde-look, its one from the 'KDM Themes' section called 'Free Your World'.
I guided kdmtheme (in root mode) to the tar and it installed it. I selected it and clicked Apply. Nothing changed so after a while I did a reboot. When it reboots now it gets right to the end and freezes showing the a blue kubuntu screen.
Trying to sort it out myself I put the HD in a USB caddy, found and edited (in root) /etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc so it point back to the kubuntu default theme ie the line now reads -
Theme=/usr/share/apps/kdm/themes/kubuntu
No change, the boot still freezes in the same place. Can anyone help?
Thanks.
