    A new version of Kubuntu?

    Hello All,

I got a notification today stating there was a new version of Kubuntu available. Is that for the upcoming 14.04 or am I supposed to have an update available right now? I am a little new to Kubuntu so I am sorry if this is a silly question. Thank you.

Not silly at all. It is for the upcoming 14.04, but there must be an error in the thing that detects new versions. It's not officially out until Thursday sometime.

I'd suggest waiting, unless you want to plunge right in. Most everything is locked in place for Trusty so there should be zero to a very minimum of changes, but you never know.

Thank you very much claydoh! I will wait until Thursday. Will I need to do a complete reinstall or are these upgrades?

This will be for an upgrade. Of course, iso images will be available if you prefer to do a clean install.

Despite the fact that Trusty is due out on this Thursday, twice over the last six months I received such notifications, vaguely about 2 and four months ago.
