    Sharing Kubuntu printer from W7

It's not strictly a Kubuntu problem, I know, but you're all usually so helpful.....

My wife's PC sits next to mine - we share a wifi router and internet access. She runs W7, I run Kubuntu 13.10. I have the printer.

I've set up Samba on my system, using the gui system-config-samba. In the first screen (Samba Server Configuration) the first entry is "printers" and I've set access open to everybody. If I sign-on to her W7 PC (I'm the administrator), I can print away quite happily. From her sign-on though, no printing. She can see the printer (and a shared folder on my system), she can send something to the printer, but nothing emerges.

    ??

    Thanks

EDIT: It used to work, till I re-installed Kubuntu a day or two ago. Nothing has changed on her PC.

I believe she has to have an account in samba on your computer. Could also be the admin vs. regular user issue. Make sure you have "guest ok = yes" in your smb.conf

      Thanks,again, oshunluvr.

I edited "smb.conf" as you suggested, and it worked.

      Cheers
