    Printer Support HP P1107

    Dear Friends

I am using Kubuntu 12.04 with CUPS and HPLIP for printing support. Some times I fell that my printer P1107 doesnot work when I take print and give print command this printer does nothing, every time I need to delete and re configure.

Any body please help me how can i do this. Not only this printer but also in very printer model Let it HP, Canon, Epson too. Is there any problem in CUPS, Kubuntu, HPLIP ?

or any other problem please let me know.

    thanks...

Hello. I just bought a new HP Deskjet 1010 printer a few days ago and it is working fine. I'm running 12.04 on my office PC which this printer is connected to. No issues here. I will note that I had to downlad the driver from the HP website, because the HPLIP version in the repositories was outdated and did not support my printer, since it was a new model.

But if NO brand of printer is working correctly, it sounds like you have issues somewhere else. Maybe an issue with cups, or maybe it's a flaky USB port. Have you tried using another port to connect your printer to?
