    Which GIMP package for Kubuntu?

Hi, everyone! First, for being a Newbie, I would like to introduce myself: my name is Paco.
For my first question (and problem, I might add), I wish to know which GIMP package would be appropriate to install on Kubuntu. I know that Ubuntu already has it but I feel more comfortable using the KDE desktop rather than Gnome. But GIMP is for me a must and I really need to install it.

    Thanks for your help,
    Looking forward...
    Regards,
    Paco

You can install GIMP on Kubuntu. Actually, there's only one version for both Ubuntu and Kubuntu. Don't worry. It will only install the libraries that it needs and not the whole GNOME desktop.

You could also try out Krita. It's an image manipulation program like GIMP but it focuses more on painting features. It also has built in CMYK support. It's installed by default in Kubuntu.
