Any chance to install T-Mobile modem on Kubuntu?

    Hey everyone,
need help installing T-Mobile "Web'n'Walk" modem in Kubuntu. Worked fine on the same laptop in Win7 before my HD collapsed and was replaced by a new one and Kubuntu installed.
    Modem: ZTE MF190
    Computer: laptop, Asus, Model U41S.
System: Kubuntu 13.10, 64bit, KDE version 4.11.2, Grub version 0.97-29ubuntu66. No other operation system installed, just Kubuntu on a brand new hard drive.
This modem, when plugged into a Windows-running computer, will install itself automatically and just start working. When plugged into Kubuntu, the modem itself seems to work (first shining red, then turns green) but the system doesn't even detect it as a new device. Any chance to install it myself?
I really need this kind of connection running ASAP, please advice me what to do. I'm completely new to Kubuntu system, but doing my best to learn how to manage it. Never going back to Windows.
    Thanks!

Thanks a lot, those instructions look quite complicated, but I'll see what I can do.
