So I'm using kubuntu 13.10 and have java jdk-7 installed. I have minecraft.jar in my downloads folder and its set to start up with java jdk runtime. When I click it to start it up it shows that java runtime is starting up (icon next to mouse and its in the task manager). It will attempt to start for about 15 seconds then close. During this time I never see the minecraft launcher or anything to do with minecraft actually startup. But when I open terminal and navigate to my downloads folder and do "java -jar minecraft.jar" it launches no questions asked. Is there a quick fix to this that I can do??
