    PC stops on boot.

Hi to all, I've just tried to upgrade my Kernel to the latest version 3.13, I'm on kubuntu 13.10, the problem is that the PC doesn't start, it freeze on boot.. I've already tried with grub in recovery mode, but it stops loading pcmcia_socket0. I don't want to erase and reinstall all if possibile, any suggestions? Thanks.

Are you able to boot using the prior kernel?

By bash, do you mean command line interface (CLI)? Text log in?
I do not personally use Kubuntu, but I'm the tech support for my daughter who does.

I mean command line from grub.. When u are on grub u have two kind of boot and two tests, u have also the command line.. I don't know how is called.. I can open only the command line, but the normal command, like su etc. Doesn't work..
