Hello, and Happy New Year!
I use Kubuntu since 2 years (and Ubuntu for 2 other years before), and one of the firsts things I made after system install was to enable the dvd to play encoded discs, which also rendered the lecture region-free. I can play any region dvd on the computer, but using k9copy, the discs copied still keep the region information within. And I cannot play them (the copies) on the home dvd-player, if other region than the home player. Years back, when I was still using Windows, dvd-shrink (which couldn't make the dvd machine region-free) was still able to convert discs to region-free. I am surprised to see now, that k9copy and k3b cannot (or I don't know how to do it).
So, my question is: are there ways to convert dvd-s to region-free discs in Kubuntu? I mean copying them, not transcoding to mp4.
Thank you,
