    No sound in Kubuntu 13.04

    Hi
I just have a new computer and install Kubuntu 13.04 (32 bits) on it.
    Everything is working except sound!
I have been looking around on similar topics and tried a lots of things but could not get a single sound from my laptop.
    Please help!!!
    Here is what I tried:

    1) Alsamixer, sound is NOT muted
    2) Use Phonon
    3) Use Pulseaudio
    4) The sound card seems detected (HDMI...)
    5) I put the permissions to groups like audio, pulse, pulse-access

Through pulseaudio volume control, when I play a music (either through internet or amarok or xine...) the output table seems to detect the sound (the horizontal bar is moving) but I'm still not hearing anything!

    Please help!

    Welcome.

    Open a console and type:
    Code:
    lspci
Copy and paste the output in your reply.

right click the speaker icon in the system tray ,,,,click audio set up,,,,,in the window that pops up click the "audio hardware setup" tab ,,,,,click the "Profile" drop down and click one of the other profiles ,,,,,,,,if you ARE trying to hear audio through HDMI output then chose "digital stereo HDMI output"(this outputs through the HDMI connector ,,,,,, IF you are trying to hear audio through the computer chose "analog stereo output"

          Thank you winnywright.
I've done this (select analog stereo output), nothing has changed.
