linnkks in thunderbird can't find application

I use thunnderbird for email and when I received emails showing I had responses to another thread I clicked on the links and it asked for an application. When I clicked on that it did not take me to applications but rather a page that showed things like home and file manager. I need to set up firefoox. Thanks

This is a Thunderbird problem, not a Kubuntu problem. Dozens of pages on the net on how to fix it.

Have you defined Firefox as your default browser? Not sure if that will solve your problem, or if oshunluvr's link will do the trick, but it's worth a try: Settings | System Settings | Default Applications | Web Browser

Thats the way it should look.

        Go to usr/bin/Firefox

I thought about going to /usr/bin/firefox but I can't find it and also how would I go about this. I'm completely new to kubuntu. I'm a long time gentoo user and I don't understand kubuntu. Thanks for the responses.

ID:	640517You get a box that says "Choose Application" Correct?

Click Choose, On the Left hand side, there should be a panel, Click "File System"

            Then navigate to usr/bin/Firefox

I figured it out already but thanks. It was so easy I don't know why I didn't think ofr it sooner. I have to say that the people that I've met here are very helpful and friendly.
