Just purchased a Philips X62 Laptop and decided to try a do my little bit against the might of Microsoft and install KUbuntu .....
Install went smoothly and everthing looks like its KUbuntu full steam ahead.
Apart from ...................
1) No WPA Network ...... I've scanned the forums and with the dexterity of a elephant typed the following command ...
Mine@Mine-laptop:~$ sudo apt-get upgrade
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Mine@Mine-laptop:~$ sudo apt-get install KNetworkManager
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
E: Couldn't find package KNetworkManager
2) Display ..........
11.1 WXGA 1366x768 Intel 945
I can setup using 1280x768 and have changed the x11.conf but still cannot get the display to change to 1366x768.
Please can someone help my sanity
Regards
Kim
