    add another partition

    Hello,

I installed the Kubuntu linux ot my station. During the installation I checked the first option for partion and the installation finished successfuly. I looked up the hard diskpartion and I found there is 3 partiton. First 78.2GB az ext3, second 5k .. i don`t know for what is it and third 1.2GB for SWAP.

How can I add another partition - 60GB for store information on it, and leave 18.2GB with Kubuntu installation and adding aditional application to kubuntu?

    Re: add another partition

It seems that you have just two partitions the largest one (the first one) is where your kubuntu system and your home (home/{yourname/) were installed. I
am guessing that what you call your second partition is just an small space between the first and the swap partitions. Now, the swap partition is useful when you run out of ram memory because the system can use it to keep on working using that space. Unless you have a lot of memory in your box is always
wise to keep a swap partition.

    Good luck.
