    can't run supertuxkart

I installed the game supertuxkart from the repositories, but I am unable to run it. When I try the command "supertuxkart" (without quotes) in the terminal, I get the following output. Meanwhile, an empty window appears and then closes itself. Any ideas?

    myname@computer_name:~$ supertuxkart

SuperTuxKart is a 3D game. Do you have a graphics card that supports 3D?

Ah, that would be it. I was unaware it was 3D. I don't have the hardware for that.

      Thanks, Snow.
      I run Kubuntu 18.04 LTS.

LOL, it's a 9 year old Dell laptop! sidenote: Kubuntu 12.04LTS is the only non-VM OS that I have on it. (I don't run Windows anymore, not even in VM.) My kubuntu install actually works fine on this rather old computer after I installed the "low fat" package. Your thread on that was very informative, btw.

On the subject of games, I found a very amusing one in the repositories called "kollision."

I got the same message in various games, although supertuxkart ran perfectly here.
I had problems with translation, so I switched the game language to English.

Anyway, I got this error message in some games which were be default went to full-screen mode.
I don't know though if it was an X-Windows or Nvidia drivers error.
I have an onboard Nvidia chip, but I don't think it's a hardware error, since I was able to run similar (not very demanding) games.
