I'm trying to use a proxy with Chromium (25.0.1364.160 on Kubuntu 13.04) but whatever settings I use Chromium ignores. The proxy is configured and working correctly and confirmed to be working by using Firefox.
Here's what I've tried:
Quitting Chromium and setting the system wide proxy using System Settings->Network Settings->Proxy. Restart Chromium and check that Settings->Network->Change proxy settings->Use system proxy configuration is checked - doesn't work.
Entering the proxy settings in Settings->Network->Change proxy settings->Use manually specified proxy configuration - doesn't work.
Starting Chromium from the command line with --proxy-server="http://192.168.1.1:3128" or --proxy-server="192.168.1.1:3128" option - doesn't work.
Any ideas? Why won't Chromium use my proxy?
Update: Rebooted and now it works. No idea why.
