little question. I mounted new HDD in to my laptop (second one so i got 2 now) and I edited fstab to mount it automatically. Also, I'm using external HDD with is plugged in most of the time. In settings-removable devices I marked external HDD for automount on login and automount on attach.
For mounting, both options works fine for both drives. However, when I shutting down my laptop I can hear terrible click and creek from both of them (never main one) - like unplugging while in use. It happen not always but most of the time. Would anyone tell me how to make it safer or maybe something is not right...

P.S. I'm using kubuntu 13.04 with kernel 3.9 - just for the records
