Alright here is anther question, lol.( I hope you guys don't loose patience with me). Ive searched around for some Divx codecs and/ player. when i use kaffine i just get audio. Is that a usual problem or is this just a freak occurrence. I looked for some Divx file downloads and it turned into dependence hell. I'm sure i could keep looking and figure it out, however i was wondering if some one could point me in the right direction. So correct me if I am wrong. This is what i think is the predicament. Kaffine can play Divx files, (avi files) however due to legal issues like my commercial DVD's that i got working Kaffine requires plugins. Well in ether case i hope some one can point me in the right direction. Because i swear i keep doing things the hard way in kubuntu and then finding out it wasn't that hard at all. that is there was a easier way.

I used Automatix to install the codec pack, and it seems to let me play Xvid files in Kaffeine ok, can't swear for DivX tho.Comment

thanks guys your awesome im learning by leaps and bounds and most important im understanding things. i swear i never really understood things under windows. i just kinda had a grasp of reasons why it was such a pain in the rear and that is simple it was windows lolComment
