    Time resets to UMT randomly

Hello guys I am extremely new to Kubuntu and the Linux community as a whole. I have an issue where my clock randomly resets to UMT which is +8 hours. While this isn't much of an issue I am active in rooms on skype which makes keeping up with the posts difficult. I have tried to set the Date and time to Arizona time but it does not adjust the clock I have tried to edit the config but it is set correctly. Not sure what to do at this point. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Mike

The cause is most likely this bug:
      https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=318709

The fix mentioned in the thread Steve linked (and a few other similar threads on the forum...and the bug report), should fix it.
      (sudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata)

UMT? Universal Metric Time? I doubt it. "Metric Time" is centidays, decidays and so on. I write this at 15.83 UMT.

if you scroll your mouse wheel while hovering the mouse over the clock the time zone will change to the displayed time zone. if you only have one time zone selected it will change from local time being displayed to displaying the time in UTC.
