No resolution settings after upgrading to 13.04

So as Kubuntu suggested I upgraded to 13.04 when it asked me 2. Everything went fine though now there is no resolution settings in the system settings. I changed back to my normal resolution using xrandr. And I could attach this command to Kubuntus startup but I would
really prefer having my old normal settings dialog in kdes system settings.
In the hardware section of the system settings there is a display and monitor category but its content is only the screensaver options and not the resolution.
I am probably missing some software, I just don't know which.

You also might try to update your drivers. If they are wrong, default drivers may not provide what you need. Sorry I can't help you better, I don't have access to my kubuntu OS right now, so I can't give you the precise solution, but I have had a similar problem in the past, and it was resolved when I updated to the recommended kubuntu video drivers for my OS. Good fortune.
