Muon Update failed install of ubuntu 13.04

Currently using kubuntu 12.10 - Attempted to run Muon Update 3 times of ubuntu 13.04 - all either crashed or failed install. On last attempt, reaching 71% completion, Error Report popped up.


I was unable to complete the error report - would not download any backtrace files.
Now am wondering how stable this obviously incomplete install is.
Any ideas would be most welcome.

Ok so let's ignore Muon for a bit. First try

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

If that doesn't work, try

sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop
