    How to determine application names?

Hi. I have a question: I can find KDE applications by searching in the K-menu or in the Alt+F2 menu (KDE Launcher, or whatever it is called). But I would like to find out their names so that I can call them from the command line. Is there any way of doing that?

For example, I would like to lock the screen from the command line. If I press Alt+F2 and type in "lock", an application appears with the title "Lock the Screen". How can I find out its program name so I can call it from the command line?

    Thanks in advance!

The KDE menu launchers (commands) can be viewed with the KDE Menu editor: http://docs.kde.org/stable/en/kde-workspace/kmenuedit/

The screen lock can be invoked with the qdbus: http://askubuntu.com/questions/61339...nism-under-kde
