KWallet Manager won't open

    KWallet Manager won't open

    I was unable to open KDE Wallet Manager in kubuntu 12.10 Desktop, so ran this in Terminal:

        I gave a guide once on how to reset kwallet. Sometimes its just easier than trying to fix it. http://www.kubuntuforums.net/showthr...hlight=kwallet Read the warnings and the remember you will lose saved passwords etc.

          Uninstalled KWallet as per instructions at:

          Reinstalled kwalletmanager (sudo apt-get install).

            Why are you running it as root? Like Oshunluvr said, you shouldn't do this. And when running it at the command line, you don't need any other parameters. Just run

            The manager will open and display every wallet for your user account.

            Here's mine:



            In my manager is a single wallet called kdewallet. If I double-click this, I can see its contents.

              The new Kwallet Manager interface can't come soon enough. A new interface will fix a ton of issues that people have. Plus its simpler, prettier and more feature rich.
