Controlling Desktop Widgets

kubuntu 12.10 Desktop
I am unable to move or alter transparency of widgets popup sidebar menu. currently black
Have not set them to lock.
Any suggestions?

can you be a bit more descriptive please ,,,,,you move a widget by clicking and dragging the pop out side bar menu the transparency is usually dependent of the desktop theme .
