    Digital Camera - System Settings

I have an AVEO Technology Corp camera (USB) attached to my computer.
In System Settings, there is an option that says 'Digital Camera'.
When I click on it, the title bar says 'Configure Camera'.
It has a button to 'Add Camera'
I'd really like to add my AVEO camera. However, there is no selection for an Aveo camera.

My question is, does anyone know which camera is similar enough to use for an AVEO camera
Thanks in advance for any constructive help...

you may want to try installing the package gphoto2, which the kamera tool can use to access and detect cameras. Not every one will work, yours may be shown as "mass storage camera"; usb cameras should show as attached storage devices in your file browser so you can access it that way as well. All the tool will do is allow you to access the device using the url "camera://" in dolphin ( I think Digikam uses this too), and unless your camera is specifically supported by the gphoto libraries, it will be no different than opening it as a storage device (a big big iirc on this, however)

Post the output of the lsusb command for your camera, we can use that info for searching.
