No boot options for Kubuntu in main screen
Hello all, finally I had installed Kubuntu, thanks to your active community. So I had been using it for about 2 weeks and it really worked fine. I got used to it and software center was nice too. But when I upgraded through terminal before installing gcc, it crashed. I used 'sudo apt-get install upgrade' . It stopped working and shut down. Now when so ever I boot I don't see 'Ubuntu' or 'Advance for Ubuntu' option in boot menu. I just see following.

Any idea what happened here? Also one problem I noticed while using Kubuntu was it's unstable internet speed. Sometimes internet speed goes to 60 KB/s while sometimes it goes as low as 700B/s. lower speed mainly occurs while I'm browsing internet and downloading side by side. I have tried Rekonq, firefox and Chromium browser but same results. Thank you for your help.
