dell inspiron 6400 wireless not working!

    dell inspiron 6400 wireless not working!

    tried everything did research nothing worked! ethernet works fine! activated wireless driver did nothing! tried fn+f2! did nothing! kubuntu's my favorite! can somebody help me with this? i do know wireless works because it works fine on windows 7 pro! it was made in 2006 and this is a dell inspiron! 6400! VERY NICE LAPTOP!!!!

        If you've tried these steps and it's failing, we need to know exactly where in the process it breaks and what output or error messages you receive.

          thanks alot!!!! it works great!!!! what i did!!! opened konsole and typed sudo apt-get install firmware-b43-installer!!! AND IT WORKED! IT ALSO DID IN OTHER DISTRO'S!
