I installed Kubuntu 12.10 on the laptop, dual boot, and the only time I will use Vista is to play Netflix..

you can have the netflix on your Kubuntu ,,,,I'm watching it on the 37" VIZIO flat screen through an HDMI cable from my Kubuntu laptop wile I type this.

works ok @hear but you must let it install mono and silverlite , some people do not like that, and I may not eather but the wife wants netflix so their we go
if you try it and you do not already have the ms-fonts it will be getting them , keep an eye on the terminal for excepting the license for the fonts EULA ,, you press the tab key to except and enter I think to continue .
