    PCMCIA support, OMNIKEY CM 4040

    Hello,

    I have a pcmcia OMNIKEY Cardman 4040 card reader. I have Precise 12.04, w/kernel ver 3.2.0-27-generic installed. I have installed PCSC and the OMNIKEY CS files. It appears the Kernel has a module for it based on it's config file

    #
    # PCMCIA character devices
    #
    CONFIG_SYNCLINK_CS=m
    CONFIG_CARDMAN_4000=m
    CONFIG_CARDMAN_4040=m

    When I try and install the OMNIKEY driver it get a message that there is no kernel pcmcia support. Any help in correcting this will be most appreciated, thank you

    Hi @jwsarge2 ,, and welcome to KFN

    you have posted in the "Documentation/How to" section which is more for tutorials than questions, a mod should be along soon to move this to 12.04/Hardware as that would be a more appropriate place for this question.

    and some one that knows a bit more than me about this subject should be along soon to start helping you with it.
