I've installed Libreoffice by downloading 3.6 from the libreoffice website and installing the debs. However it looks very Win95. There are grey bars that look really bad everywhere, its what happens when gtk programs are run under kde. How do I make it all nice and integrated with kubuntu? I've checked and the KDE integration module for 3.6 is installed.

Which version of Kubuntu are you using?
3.6 is already available in 12.10's repositories, the official Ubuntu packages will give you a better look. I have never had the LO from their site look good overall, I think the KDE integration stuff from them is perpetually broken.
If you are using 12.04, you can get the same version as in 12.10 from here

Oh! If you're using Kubuntu 12.10, I needed to do this: Make sure your GTK themes are set to "oxygen-gtk". For some reason, for me, they were set to "Default" which wasn't Oxygen.
You can find the setting in System Settings -> Application Appearance -> GTK Config.
That's my workaround at least :PLast edited by Guest; Oct 26, 2012, 06:16 PM.
