    Can't access internet with Kubuntu?

I really want to use Kubuntu, but I'm using this motherboard and it won't let me go online with it. Is there any way to get online with Kubuntu, that's somewhat noob friendly?

It's probably not your motherboard that is giving you problems. Are you dial-up or dsl? What kind of modem do you have?

If you are using DSL connection,
      go into Konsole and type

      sudo pppoeconf

      Then just follow on-screen instructions

I'm using a cable modem. It's a Motorola Surfboard SB5101. After it wouldn't work I tried it out on a VM and it does let me go online with a virtual machine.
