Adept Installer - Weird Problem

Ok I want firefox, and a few other programs, c++ suite etc..
I load edept Installer give the admin password, Select "Any Suite" Programs I have are ticked, anf the others are faded and being unable to be clicked..

Running kubuntu, on 2 gig internet, may anyone know whats wrong?

If you can use the "any suite" drop down menu, I'm assuming your using the add/remove program utility. I don't use it myself, so I can't tell you why some packages might not be selectable. You can still get the packages you want though.

First, if you haven't already, update your repositories following the directions here...

Then open a terminal and type...
sudo apt-get install synaptic

Then open synaptic. It is in the Utilities in the K menu. After prompting for a password, you can search for any packages you want.
