    Hello and welcome to the world of Kubuntu.

    Using the Muon package manager search for Logitech B500 and see what packages it displays (if any).

    Alternatively, you can try and follow this set of instructions https://wiki.kubuntu.org/Logitech_G15

    Of course, the instructions are not for your particular model but I would have thought it would still work or you can work out from it how to install drivers for your particular model.

    Hope this helps.

        Most webcams should work out the box on kubuntu so you should not need to install a driver what you do need is an application to use the webcam, try installing "cheese" and see if it works with that. Some other application that should be able to use it are Kopete and Skype (messaging applications).

        The G15 is a keyboard, not a webcam...

          Stupid DuckDuckGo I typed in Kubuntu Logiteck and B500 in its search engine and one of the links was for this G15 device si I just assumed it was a different model webcam.

          Sorry for any misleading information I might have given.

                For Skype, you might need to pre-load the video-for-linux (v4l) driver. I have an old Logitech Quickcam Communicate STX that has the same issue. First, install the libv4l-0 package. Then, I made a little shell script:

                Code:
                #!/bin/sh
                export XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1
                LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib32/libv4l/v4l1compat.so skype
                exit 0
                I named the script "skypelauncher.sh". Save it in your home folder. You'll have to
                Code:
                chmod +x skypelauncher.sh
                Then right-click your skype icon, choose "Icon Settings", go to the "Application" tab, and on the "Command" line make it read like this

                Code:
                /home/xenon/skypelauncher.sh
