Menubar does not appear in Firefox

I fixed this issue in 2007, however, right-clicking in the Title bar does not provide the option to show the menubar anymore. Firefox support could not help me. They referred me to Microsoft, even though I made it clear have a Linux OS. Duh! Re-installation of Firefox after complete removal from my system did not work.

    Kubuntu 12.10 OS
    KDE 4.8.4

Firefox install was today, 8-13-12. Without Menubar, I don't know how to access the version of Firefox.

I prefer Konqueror, however there are things Firefox does better, when the menubar works. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Advance Thanks~

I have restored my notebook to factory settings. It repaired the problem. Thanks for trying to help.

Using Firefox 14.0.1 in Kubuntu 12.04 I can right click next to the tab and just tick "show menu bar"
When no menu bar is showing I have a Firefox drop down before the first tab, which if clicked on allows preferences to be seen where I can then select menu bar.
    I'll check in 12.10 in a bit.

What do you mean when you say 'tab'? Are you meaning the firefox Icon? If I right-clidk on the Firefox icon, or the icon next to it, or the blank space on the rest of the bar, the window that opens is as follows:

      Activities
      Move
      Resize
      Minimize
      maximize
      Shade
      Advanced
      Cinfigure Window Behavior...
      Close Alt F-4

The Option to show menu bar is not offered. I am sure I have Firefox 14.0.1 in my machine, I just cannot verify it by clicking 'Help'. I re-installed it today using 'Synaptics Package Manager'.

On my desktop, the only '+' sign is on the google toolba. My Browser opens to the Google page. Nothing related to Firefox drops down from that plus sign.

Do you have the tab bar showing? Any space to the right or left of the tabs show work (right click to get this menu: )

Or do you have the navigation bar (with address box and search box)? Click anywhere not in the address and search text entry boxes to get the same menu.

Otherwise ... can you post a screen shot?
I'd rather be locked out than locked in.

I tried alt +v, then alt v right arrow, then alt right arrow
and enter all at the same time. None made any changes on the browser or showed evidence that I had pressed anything.
