My monitor screen began to behave weirdly this afternoon: it seemed to be divided roughly into three vertical sections, partly overlapping and most of the screen was "scrambled". The pointer had become a white box.
I eventually managed to close all my applications and access System settings / display. By trial and error I found that by reducing the presentation to 640 x 480 the screen became normal again - but everything is so big that it is difficult to navigate.
Can anyone suggest what went wrong and how I can get back to the orginal high definition presentation?
