KDM login problem

I was screwing around customizing kdm and i applied a theme that is not working. If I could get logged in I can fix it but kdm doesn't work. How can I get logged in? littler embarrassed. I have a back up but its a couple weeks old.

I haven't had problems with Kubuntu autologin, but look at the file

/etc/kde4/kdm/kdmrc

Look for "AutoLoginEnable=true", then change it to false.

This is just a guess.

Also related to fixing that parameter, is

genkdmconf --help

That isn't what I did but it's close.

Boot livecd
open konsol
sudo kate /etc/kde4/kdm/kdmrc
changed the line Theme=/usr/share/kde4/apps/kdm/themes/ BADTHEME
to the location of a working theme.
