    Newer Vuze Version?

I see Vuze is available via the ubuntu repos, but it is an older version just like it is in Debian. However in Debian, I installed via apt-get, then grabbed a newer package(not source) from the Vuze web site, and my problem(not being able to select a port higher then 49151) was fixed. However, in Kubuntu the port problem is not solved and I am getting these errors:

http://pastebin.com/WLeigFjF(when clicking details in the top right it gives me this error)
I had this same problem in Debian(just the port issue). Is there a better way to install Vuze? I would really like to use a higher port as I have been using the port in Windows and have memorized the port. That and being a bit OCD, it would require me to reconfigure several rules in my router. I am not really interested in using kTorrent or any other client as I already have and prefer Vuze. Any help would be appreciated!

EDIT: I found that the best way to install vuze was use sudo apt-get build-dep vuze, then grab the archive from the vuze site. Now you should extract it and place the vuze folder in /opt so the path to the executable would be /opt/vuze. Then, change ownership of the vuze folder and files to your user name so it can auto update, and your done.
