    Application Appearance - Style

    Hi,
I got a problem with the settings of Kubuntu. I was testing what Style under Application Appearance would be right for me. Finally I decided to use "Cleanlooks". But I found out that some applications changed to "Cleanlooks" like Mixer, LibreOffice or digiKam. But many other applications use a style that looks like "GTK+Style". Please have a look at the attachments.
What can I do to change ALL applications to "Cleanlooks" style?
    Regards,
    Sigurd

I'm no expert on this, but IIUC, only KDE programs will respond to global changes in themes. GIMP is desktop agnostic, as is Open / Libre Office. Gnome programs will not respond either.

    Frank.
Linux: Powerful, open, elegant. Its all I use.

Unfortunately, there is not much you can do. Probably you (will) use different apps from qt, gtk2, gtk3, and other and they might have trouble to integrate well in your chosen style. But read this:

      and try kde-gtk-config.
There are plenty of themes for KDE and gtk on www.kde-look.org and http://www.deviantart.com/

        Hi,
Regarding LibreOffice I agree. But for instance Gimp took over the choosen Style. The problem is that it already worked fine. The applications took over the chosen Style. I don't know what I have done. But suddenly many of them have the Style: GTK+Style and only some still have the Style I have chosen in the System Settings.

          Found out

          Hi,
In the System Settings under Application Appearance are TWO places for appearance settings. The first place is under Style. Some applications take the style from here. Even LibreOffice takes over the colors from here. But other applications as Gimp or for instance the Window to save files does not use these settings. The second place you can find under GTK+ Appearance. Here you can chose "oxygen-gtk" and all the other applications take over the settings. It looks like that the other possible settings here do not influence these applications. For me the problem is solved.
          Regards,
          Sigurd
