Can't access my portable HD

Plug my portable HD into my laptop running Kubuntu live CD and nothing happens.

HD is a Zynet Polar  mobile storage solution 2.5" External Enclosure, HD-D4-U2


If I got a terminal and type lsusb I get the following information for it thought:

Bus  002 Device 005: ID 04b4:6830 Cypress Semiconductor Corp. USB-2.0 IDE Adapter


Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm, just came across this post while doing a forum search for the lsusb command. This may no longer be relevant advice given the age of this thread but anyway. Check the linked post for help solving this issue (if it still is one):
