    Broadband Help

    Hi guys i m new kubuntu user here.. i had just installed kubuntu 11.10 64 bit on my windows 7 platform using wubi. I m using asus k43u with 1.66 dual core processor.

    My problem here as i m still new, i dunno how to setup my broadband with kubuntu, i had plugged my modem (D link DWM-156) into the usb port and seems nothing happened..
    Can i get any help here..

            Click on the K Menu icon, then on System and then on Additional Drivers. After the scan is finished, a window will appear. Does it show the proprietary driver you just installed? If it does, does it show that is activated and in use? If it does not, activate it.
            Windows no longer obstructs my view.

                Well now i know my problem, my device is detected as CD rom rather than mobile broadband
