Day One Of Install - Wireless Network Problems

Hi, Just installed Kubuntu 6.06. Looks great ! I have tried to use my Medion router and USB wireless device which works well in windows but cannot get it to go in Kubuntu. I checked iwconfig and it sees it as eth1. In network settings it is enabled - I have a green tick. I don't have a clue where to get the ESSID - even looking through the Medion manual doesn't help. Can anyone advise of the steps I need to take to get it to go. Thanks In Advance

Hi,

Maybe you set it in the modem... You can check this settings in properties of the wifi connection in windows...
or by the command :
sudo iwconfig eth1 list
it should display all visible ssid
