    How do I change my video card?

    i'm a little bit computer literate. i would like to upgrade my video card if possible on my sony vaio laptop model vgn-fs980. how and where can i go to but it?

      Interesting article, but probably well beyond useful now. Every laptop I've torn apart since around 2010 incorporates the graphics chip directly onto the motherboard, soldered in -- not on a removable card as that article shows.

          The only pre-2010 laptop I've torn down was one of those behemoth workstation things that did, in fact, have a removable card just like in that photograph. So my sample size is, admittedly, small.

              It's hard to replace a laptop's video card. I suggest you do not try to upgrade a laptop's video card. If you want then you can give the laptop to a professional and do the job for you. Also, it'll void your laptop's warranty.
