VSFTPD Setup

Please excuse my ignorance but I am very new to Linux. I have installed Kubuntu and now want to set up an FTP server on it. I have installed vsftpd OK and have it running. I can access it OK from the network but I have no idea which folder it is showing by default. I only have one user on the Kubuntu Box. I want to allow Anonomous login to the ftp for file sharing.
If someone could help please but please make it as simple as possible.

Take a look at this HowTO. It's a little terse, but it may help. This one is a little better even though it's devoted to some very specialized hardware.
