Kubuntu 11.10
I am unable to find anything that I understand relating to "grub rescue>". I posted but did not get a response that I understand or could implement. I have since attempted to fresh install from a Live CD. After confirming that the CDROM is first in the boot order, and with the Kubuntu 11.10 Live CD in the CDROM, the computer continues to stop at the same point in the boot process:
error: no such device: eb73ef6b-968d-493a-9b95-e5b600509d62.
grub rescue>: _
An acquaintance told me that my HDD was broken. I purchased a new HDD and attempted a fresh install. Again the computer stopped during the boot process with the following error:
error: no such device: eb73ef6b-968d-493a-9b95-e5b600509d62.
grub rescue>: _
Motherboard: ASUS Mempipe M3N-HT Deluxe
Processor: AMD Quad Core 2300mhz Black Edition
Memory: 4gb Axiom ECC ddr2 800mhz
500gb SATA II HDD
TB SATA II HDD
TB SATA III HDD

This happened after booting following an update approximately a month ago. Thanks for any help you may provide.
