    No sound after failed update

I ran the auto update today from the muon package manager. I had been away for a while so there were lots of them. During the installation of the packages the computer froze, eventually I had no choice but to turn the computer off and restart as nothing else would kill the process, but it was doing nothing. Now after rebooting I have no sound on my computer, when I click on the volume control it says "dummy output" at the top. When I right click it and choose restore, then choose "select master channel" it shows 2 options the first is unselectable and says "internal audio analog stereo" the second says "dummy output" and is the highlighted, and selectable option.

Solved, but I can't figure out how to change the heading to solved, so sorry about that. I was trying to use old fixes for similar problems I found on some other forums and while using commands in the terminal it recognized the failed installation itself and gave me the fix.
